My Story
I've been a serial entrepreneur for over 40 years, and I've started 17 companies on every major continent except Antarctica. My companies have spanned payment processing, SaaS software, medical devices, digital therapeutics, and even video games. Early on, I was part of the team that built the first secure payment system on the internet — the breakthrough that made it safe to move money online and, with it, helped usher in the era of e-commerce. Decades later, my last company before FindMyAIEmployee.ai processed close to $1 billion in total process volume — and it continues to grow. Along the way I've raised multi-millions of dollars from investors — and returned multi-millions back to them.
I wasn't planning to start another company. But AI is too big an innovation not to build around. So I started company number 18.
I've seen firsthand the power of innovation and the power of creating jobs. I have always been about job creation — my companies have hired close to 1,000 employees all over the world. And I believe innovation, while it may disrupt one industry, has a way of creating many more.
The automobile reduced jobs tied to horses and carriages, but it created entire industries around manufacturing, highways, insurance, logistics, and tourism. Personal computers automated countless clerical tasks, but they gave rise to software development, IT, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. The internet cut demand in some retail and media roles while creating e-commerce, digital marketing, and online education.
I believe AI will have the same effect: it will empower people to create new industries, and in doing so, create more jobs. I know this because AI is what allowed me to build this company — something I never could have done on my own. Our goal is to amplify people, to make them more productive.
I hope I'm right about the future.
